What's Involved?

A First Call
So what do you do first? Our guidelines will help you deal with the details of tending to their physical care, notify the right people, and plan a fitting and meaningful ceremony.
Arrangement Conference
Within the first 24 hours of your loved one's passing, you will need to meet with a funeral home to begin the final arrangements. This page will help you prepare for our conversation.
Burial or Cremation?
When deciding between burial or cremation. It's is an important decision. Know that both are honorable final dispositions. Religions, traditions, finances, families and your loved-ones final wishes will play a big part when making this choice. How are they different: For cremations the body is incinerated so that all that remains become ashes. On the other hand with a burial, the body remains intact. How are the similar: Both may take place either immediately after death or following a traditional funeral service. When a body is buried it is interred in a plot or entombed in a mausoleum. In comparison, cremated remains may also be either buried in a plot or entombed in a columbarium. In addition, they may be scattered in an urn garden, scattered at sea, scattered from a plane, or kept by the family at home in an urn. Generally, cremation is the more economical choice.
